EC Markets has appointed Omar Qumuq as Managing Director for the Middle East, based in Dubai. With deep regional experience and leadership in financial services, he will lead EC Markets’ expansion across the GCC and MENA.

EC Markets has announced the appointment of Omar Qumuq as its new Managing Director for the Middle East, based in the company’s Dubai office. Omar joins the broker at a pivotal moment as it focuses on expanding its presence in the region. He brings with him a wealth of experience in the financial services and trading sectors, shaped by both regional knowledge and a global perspective. Before joining EC Markets, he held senior roles at Doo Group, STARTRADER, and MultiBank in the UAE.
Over the course of his career, Omar has built strong relationships across the region, developed a deep understanding of local markets, and shown a proven ability to scale businesses in competitive and highly regulated environments. From the outset, he has emphasised that his role is not only about growth in numbers but about creating long-term value for traders across the region. His vision for EC Markets in the Middle East and North Africa is clear: to become a trusted partner that combines local relevance with global standards.

The company’s Dubai office currently employs around 30 staff, with plans to grow this team into the hundreds in the near future.
At the same time, EC Markets aims to build a strong, knowledgeable team that understands local culture and regulations, while forming partnerships with fintech companies, educators, and regulators to support sustainable growth. Ultimately, the goal is to position EC Markets as a bridge that offers regional investors seamless access to opportunities in global markets.
