How we calculate the FX Trust Score
Scores are monitored continuously, formally reviewed at least quarterly and recalculated when material, verifiable changes affect the assessment.

What is the FX Trust Score Index™?

The FX Trust Score Index™ is FXTrustScore.com’s proprietary broker-trust assessment framework. It evaluates each broker across five weighted pillars:

  • Regulatory Compliance – 30%
  • Security & Fund Protection – 20%
  • Customer Support – 15%
  • Online Reputation – 20%
  • Trading Conditions – 15%

Each pillar is scored from 0% to 100%, and the published weightings are applied to produce the broker’s final FX Trust Score, expressed as a percentage.

The Index is applied consistently across formal broker reviews. The live Broker Data Index below records the latest published overall score and five pillar scores for each evaluated broker.

How We Calculate the FX Trust Score

The FX Trust Score™ is the individual percentage score produced by the FX Trust Score Index™. Every broker is assessed across the same five weighted pillars, each scored from 0% to 100%. The published weightings are then applied to calculate the broker’s final FX Trust Score.

1. Regulatory Compliance

We assess licensing status, jurisdictional strength, regulatory standing, licence verification, compliance disclosures and regulatory track record. Regulatory Compliance carries 30% of the final FX Trust Score.

2. Security & Fund Protection

We assess client fund segregation, compensation scheme participation where applicable, negative balance protection, encryption and other operational safeguards. Security & Fund Protection carries 20% of the final FX Trust Score.

3. Customer Support

We assess support availability, responsiveness and the quality of supported service channels. Where support is tested directly, the observed results may inform the assessment. Customer Support carries 15% of the final FX Trust Score.

4. Online Reputation

We assess verifiable reputation and market-conduct signals, including publicly visible complaint patterns, dispute-resolution evidence, credible media reporting and historical regulatory or conduct issues. User-submitted ratings, testimonials and unverified individual allegations are not used as direct scoring inputs. Online Reputation carries 20% of the final FX Trust Score.

5. Trading Conditions

We assess spreads, commissions, leverage, minimum deposit requirements and the transparency of fees and account terms. Trading Conditions carries 15% of the final FX Trust Score.
